Replacing the Seals
in Pre-Cast Concrete Buildings
The old seal and backer rod were removed and replaced with
new materials.
This building was breaking up at the top due to exfiltration
of warm moist air condensing and depositing water inside the
wall. During the cold winter months ice was formed and went through
the freeze/thaw cycles. This was breaking up the building structure.
We saved this building owner a lot of money and problems by identifying
the issues and taking preventative measurements.
Pests were an issue at this food manufacturing facility
so the inside of the joints were bridged with metal to prevent
them from entering the building.
