Gerhard:

The house is great. Kathy did the final leak test with the door blower yesterday and found only one minor area of leakage. The upper floor is now very comfortable, to the point where we have had to close all the bedroom vents to keep the rooms from getting too warm. We noticed a big difference in the upstairs bathroom as well. Our only concern now is in keeping the basement TV room temperature up as the furnace is not running as much now.

Hope all goes well for you.
Thanks for your help.

Zerodraft was recommended to me by Corey at Bricor Roofing. We were experiencing a strange smell in my son's bedroom, and I was thinking it was water leaking onto the insulation in my attic. It turned out to be mold on all the walls and ceiling of a secondary attic that was never accessed, and left to develop over what was probably a few years. One solution suggested by a different company was to strip the roof down to the rafters, and remove the plywood from the walls, thereby ridding us of the mold, not to mention 4/5 ths of the attic. I was probably looking at a $10,000.00, two week, very messy reno for a room that was never used.

Gerhard and Guy of Zerodraft have developed a simple and very effective way to deal with mold and it's causes. Kill it with a bleach-like spray, let it dry for an hour or so, and then encapsulate the whole room in one to four inches of polyurethane foam, like the orange stuff you spray from a can to keep out wasps, but on a very large and sophisticated scale. Instead of 2 weeks, they took a day and a half, and it cost less than half of what I was probably looking at for the reno . They arrived on time both mornings, did exactly what we had discussed, and did a clean-up that even impressed my wife. One day later, the smell was gone, and as a bonus, it definitely discouraged any future rodent activity.

What can I say, these guys are good!

Dear Gerhard,

Thank you so much for making my home warm again.
You and your friendly staff have dona a wonderful job.
Your attentionto detail was great.
You found all the hot/cold air leaks and sealed them quickly and most effectively.
I was very impressed with the job while you were doing it, more importantly completely satisfied with the job when it was finished.
Thank you for taking the time to explain everything, to understand the problems and the solutions you were recommending.

Most sincerely yours,
Florance Goodridge
